Enabling Enable Apple Push Notification Services changes the contents of the auto-generated 46xxsettings.txt file provided by the IP Office system.

• To apply the new settings to existing Avaya Workplace Client applications:

  • By default, the clients regularly update using the SETTINGS_CHECK_INTERVAL setting. The IP Office auto-generated 46xxsettings.txt file uses the default of 1 day.

  • Otherwise, to force an update:

    • For desktop clients: Click the icon and select Support. Then click Check for Updates.

    • For mobile clients: Click the icon and select Exit. Then restart the application.

Enabling Enable Apple Push Notification Services makes the following changes to the auto-generated 46xxsettings.txt file:

• The SET PUSH_NOTIFICATION_ENABLED 0 string changes to SET PUSH_NOTIFICATION_ENABLED 1.

• The IP Office adds a SET TELEPHONY_PUSH_NOTIFICATION_SERVICE_URL string using the IP Office system's SIP Registrar FQDN value. For example:

  • SET TELEPHONY_PUSH_NOTIFICATION_SERVICE_URL "https://sip.example.com:443/PushNotification

  • The port used changes to 411 if Use Preferred Phone Ports is enabled.
