Getting the Chrome Extension Logs

Chrome can provide logs for the Avaya Calling extension. You can use these to help resolve user issues.

  • Setting the LogDownload option to false in the profile disables the downloading of logs. By default, the extension enables log downloads.

Before you begin

  • Log the user out of the Avaya Calling extension.

Procedure

  1. Within Chrome, select  > More Tools > Extensions.
  2. Select Developer mode.
  3. Locate the Avaya Calling extension and click on the background.html link shown next to Inspect views. The link opens in a separate DevTools window, showing the Console tab.
  4. Log the user back into Avaya Calling and perform any required test actions.
  5. When completed, in the DevTools window, right-click log messages and select Save as.
  6. Save the log messages to a file.
