Avaya Workplace Client Email Connection

About this task

Use this process for installations that use Avaya Cloud Services. In that scenario, Avaya Workplace Client user register with Avaya Cloud Services using their email address. Their email address is set as their Unique Identity in the IP Office configuration.

The Avaya Cloud Services configuration for the domain tells the client the address of the IP Office system. This process is common to all the operating systems. If during this initial configuration, the operating system or installed virus checker prompts whether to allow the application, select that option.

Procedure

  1. Start the Avaya Workplace Client application.
  2. Select Configure my account.
  3. In Email, enter your email address.
  4. Click Next.
  5. If prompted to Choose your environment, select the name of the system to which you want to login and click Next.
  6. The next steps depend on whether the system has been configured for Avaya Cloud Authorization (see Enabling Avaya Cloud authorization):
    • If the Access everything from one account menu appears:

      1. Select the type of account you want to use to login and enter the details. Otherwise, enter your email address and click Get Started.

      2. The Avaya Workplace Client login menu appears briefly and then disappears as you are logged in.

    • If the Avaya Workplace Client login menu appears and stays visible:

      1. Enter your extension number.

      2. Enter your user password. This is the same password as you use for the user portal (self-administration).

      3. Click Sign In.
