Avaya Workplace Client clients can perform their initial registration with IP Office either directly or through Avaya Cloud Services. The selected method affects how instant messaging and presence information is provided to clients.
Procedure
Using either IP Office Manager or IP Office Web Manager, load the system configuration.
Select System > System.
Locate the Messaging Server option and select one-X Portal.
The one-X Portal server is used to support instant messaging between IP Office clients including Avaya Workplace Client. The clients must register directly to the IP Office system by entering the URL for the 46xxsetting.txt file rather than using features such as SSO or an email address.
