Installation of the Avaya Workplace Client on a virtual Windows desktop should not be done using the normal process of double-clicking on the .msi file. Instead it must be done using a command line installation.
The basic command line used command is msiexec /i "Avaya Workplace Setup.msi" VDIENV=1. This runs the installation whilst enabling settings for use in a virtual desktop environment. If required, other command options can be included in the command line. See Windows command line installation.
The command line can be run either individual on each virtual desktop or using a Windows group policy (see Installation using a group policy).
