Adding an Avaya Oceana server to a location

About this task

Control Manager supports multiple Avaya Oceana® server instances. Each Avaya Oceana® server must be assigned to a different location in Control Manager.

Control Manager does not support sharing of Avaya Oceana® server across multiple locations. Therefore, add a single server to only one location. The Avaya Oceana® system assigned to a location is not available in the System Name drop-down for assigning to other locations.

Before you begin

Ensure that Avaya Oceana® Cluster 1 is in the running and accepting state.

Procedure

  1. Log on to Control Manager.
  2. Navigate to Configuration > Locations.
  3. On the Location List page, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the location to add the Avaya Oceana® server.
    2. Click Edit or double-click the location.
  4. On the Location Edit page, perform the following steps:
    1. Select the Systems tab.
    2. Click the + sign.
    3. In System Type, select Avaya Oceana.

      The System Name field displays the name of the newly created Manager Server.

  5. Leave Sync Schedule blank and click Save.
  6. Click Confirm on the Warning message dialog box.
