Configuring the connection to System Manager

Before you begin

Confirm that the connector for System Manager has been enabled using the procedure found in Enabling connectors. Enable the connector if it is not enabled.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Avaya Control Manager.
  2. Click Add.
  3. On the Connection Details tab, enter the values in the fields as described in Configuring the connection to System Manager field descriptions.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Assign the System Manager system to the Location.
    1. Click Configuration > Locations.
    2. In the locations list, double-click the location to which you want to assign the System Manager system.
    3. Click the Systems tab.
    4. Click Add.
    5. In the System Type drop-down list, click System Manager.
    6. In the System Name drop-down list, click the System Manager system that you configured.
    7. Optional In the Sync Schedule drop-down list, click the required sync schedule.
    8. Click Save.
  6. Ensure that the Communication Manager alias name administered under Configuration > Team Engagement > Communication Manager matches the Communication Manager name under System Manager > Inventory > Manage Elements.
