About this task

After you complete installing the latest version of Control Manager or upgrade from the previous versions of Control Manager, you must synchronize Avaya Oceana® data into the Control Manager system.

Avaya Oceana® data can include:

  • Workflow Assignment Objects: Categories, Attributes, and Services

  • Work Assignment Properties: Service Excluded, Strategy, Proficiency, and Multiplicity

  • User Attributes

  • User Prototype

  • User Profile Prototype

  • Providers

  • User Details

  • UserGroups Types

  • System properties

Procedure

  1. Log on to the Windows operating system.
  2. Navigate to the <InstallPath>\Services\ACCCM Synchronizer folder.
  3. To start the synchronizer, right-click the NAV360_Synchronizer.exe file and select Run.

Control Manager displays the Synchronizer screen.

  4. Select Oceana in the Type Sync field.
  5. Select the options in the Objects to synchronize section.
  6. Select the Locations to synchronize.
  7. Click Start.
    Note:

If you have enabled Avaya Oceana® Disaster Recovery support, ensure that the primary Avaya Oceana® server is in an Active state before you synchronize data from Avaya Oceana®.

If data already exists in the Control Manager database for the selected objects and locations that you synchronize, you will overwrite this data when you run subsequent sync operations. The synchronizer application displays a warning message with this information when you run a sync operation.
