Setting up the Avaya Aura Media Server cluster

Procedure

  1. On the primary Avaya Aura® Media Server, do the following:
    1. In your web browser, enter the following URL to log on to Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager:

      https://<Avaya Aura Media Server_FQDN>:8443/em

    2. On the login page, enter the login credentials and click Sign In.
    3. On the Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager interface, click Cluster Configuration > Server Designation.
  2. Note the UUID.
  3. Select the Enable Replication Account check box.
  4. In the Username field, type repluser.
  5. In the Password field, type replpass.
  6. Click Save.
  7. Confirm the Avaya Aura® Media Server restart.
  8. On the secondary Avaya Aura® Media Server, do the following:
    1. In your web browser, enter the following URL to log on to Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager:

      https://<Avaya Aura Media Server_FQDN>:8443/em

    2. On the login page, enter the login credentials and click Sign In.
    3. On the Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager interface, click Cluster Configuration > Server Designation.
  9. In the Role field, select Secondary.
  10. In the Primary Server UUID field, enter the UUID you note from the primary server.
  11. In the Primary Server Address field, enter the IP address of the primary server.
  12. Select the Enable Replication Account check box.
  13. In the Username field, type repluser.
  14. In the Password field, type replpass.
  15. Click Save.
  16. Confirm the Avaya Aura® Media Server restart.
  17. On the standard Avaya Aura® Media Server, do the following:
    1. In your web browser, enter the following URL to log on to Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager:

      https://<Avaya Aura Web Gateway_FQDN>:8443/emlogin

    2. On the login page, enter the login credentials and click Sign In.
    3. On the Avaya Aura® Media Server Element Manager interface, click Cluster Configuration > Server Designation.
  18. In the Role field, select Standard.
  19. On the primary server, click Cluster Configuration > Server Designation.
  20. In the Standard Designation area, verify that all servers are listed.
  21. On the primary server, click System Status > Cluster Status to reverify all servers.
