Installing or Upgrading Avaya Oceana Pluggable Data Connector plug-in

Procedure

  1. Open Orchestration Designer.

    The speech perspective must be open to configure the Context Store PDC.

  2. Select Window > Perspective > Open Perspective > Speech in Orchestration Designer.
  3. Right-click Project > Properties, in the Avaya Orchestration Designer Navigator window and open the properties for each project open in Orchestration Designer.
  4. On the Pluggable Connector tab, locate Oceana Services.If there is no Oceana Services Pluggable Connector in the list, close Orchestration Designer and proceed to step 10.
  5. If the Oceana Services Pluggable Connector is enabled, un-deploy the existing plug-in by un-checking the enabled check box.
  6. Select Apply and Close.

    Complete this step for each project that is open in Orchestration Designer and then close Orchestration Designer.

  7. From the plug-in folder located at C:\ AAOD\eclipse\plugins, check if there is an existing Oceana PDC plug-in jar in the eclipse plug-in folder and delete it.
    Note:

    If there was an Oceana PDC in the list of Pluggable Connectors, but not enabled on any open project, the existing plug-in must be deleted from the plug-ins folder.

  8. Start Orchestration Designer without any Oceana PDC plug-in jar in C:\ AAOD\eclipse\plugins.
  9. Close Orchestration Designer.
    Note:

    If steps 8-9 are not present you may encounter an issue where the 'Oceana Services' connector is absent from the Pluggable Connectors tab mentioned in step 4. In that case Eclipse cache invalidation is required. E.g. AOD has to be run with "-clean" parameter using the following steps:

    1. Press the Windows Start button

    2. Type the Command prompt.

    3. Click Command prompt.

    4. Navigate to Eclipse install folder for example: C:\AOD-8.1\eclipse.

    5. Enter eclipse.exe -clean and click return.

    For example: C:\AOD-8.1\eclipse>eclipse.exe -clean.

  10. Copy the new Oceana PDC plug-in jar into the plug-in folder located at C:\ AAOD\eclipse\plugins.
  11. Start Orchestration Designer.
  12. To deploy the Oceana PDC plug-in, do the following:
    1. Right-click on the relevant project in the Avaya Orchestration Designer Navigator window.
    2. Navigate to Orchestration Designer > Pluggable Connectors tab.
    3. Select the Oceana Services Pluggable Connector enabled check box.
    4. Click Apply and Close.
