A pool is a group of servers to which services can be load balanced. In this configuration, each pool is a single IP address on the internal firewall that corresponds to an Avaya Oceana® cluster/server.
Procedure
On the Virtual Traffic web admin interface, click Services > Pools.
The interface displays the Create a new Pool page.
In the Pool Name field, enter a name for the pool.
In the Pool Type field, select Static.
Under Nodes, enter the unique IP address/port combination on the internal firewall of the destination cluster/server.
Click Create Pool.
Virtual Traffic Manager creates the pool and displays the following message:
This pool is not yet associated with a virtual server, so settings for all protocols are shown below.
Click SSL Settings > SSL Encryption.
In the ssl_encrypt field, select Yes.
Click Update.
On the Pools tab, click Pools.
Repeat Steps 2 to 9 for each Avaya Oceana® cluster.
These steps also apply to Avaya Oceana® Cluster 4 for CoBrowse and Avaya Analytics™ cluster for real-time and historical reporting.
