Configure Windows Server Failover Cluster

The High Availability (HA) deployment of the External Data Mart (EDM) Basic Availability Group (BAG) requires Microsoft SQL Server AlwaysOn software and the Windows Server Failover Clustering (WSFC) feature on each Microsoft Windows Server operating system. You must install the supported Microsoft SQL Server AlwaysOn software and WSFC feature on each database host in the deployment.

The following four unused IP addresses are required in the same domain and network:

  • One IP address for the primary database server

  • One IP address for the secondary database server

  • One IP address for the BAG Listener

  • One IP address for WSFC
