Local Account Password Expiration

A check box indicating whether the password assigned to this user account will expire after the number of days indicated in the corresponding field.

If selected, the assigned password expires after the indicated number of days.

If cleared, you can use the password assigned to this user account indefinitely.

Local Account Password Expiration Notification

A check box indicating whether a notification to the user is displayed at the time of log in. The notification is about the expiry of the password within a specific number of days.

If selected, a notification is displayed each time the user logs on to the EMS.

If cleared, a notification is not displayed.

Reject Previously Used Passwords

The number of previously used passwords that cannot be used.

Failed Attempts Before Lockout

A check box indicating whether the user account is locked out after the number of login attempts indicated in the corresponding field.

Failed Attempt Window

A check box indicating whether the failed attempt counter must be reset after the least amount of time between login attempts specified in the corresponding field.

If cleared, any subsequent failed login attempts increase the failed attempt counter.

Lockout Duration

A check box indicating whether an account remains locked for the number of seconds specified in the corresponding field.

After the lockout duration passes, the attempt of the next user to log in to a locked account resets the account state to normal.
