Use case

The Avaya SBC Passthrough option enables you to configure pass-through network IP addresses along with the local IP address. Avaya SBC enables an IP address that is different from the subnet to listen. The pass-through network IP addresses must be routable on the same subnet configured on Avaya SBC.

A system is configured with the B1 network to handle external traffic. For instance, the network address of B1 is 10.0.4.0, the IP address assigned to the system is 10.0.4.37, and the gateway is set to 10.0.4.1.

Now, the user has decided to configure an IP address that does not belong to the B1 subnet. However, the user ensured that the newly configured IP address is routable on the same subnet and gateway. To provide a specific example based on the previous scenario, the IP address the user configured in their environment is 34.168.112.241.
