Sending output variables to Orchestration

About this task

You can send variables from Automation flows to Orchestration workflows. Ensure that you click Save in the Start Automation task in Orchestration to make the variable available for the entire workflow.

Before you begin

Connect the self-service flow to an Orchestration workflow in the Start Automation task properties.

Procedure

  1. In Automation, open the self-service flow where you want to create a new variable.
  2. Create a variable of type Output Variable and click Save.
  3. Save and publish the self-service flow.
  4. In Orchestration, open the workflow to receive the variable.
  5. Open the Start Automation task and verify that the new variable is available.
  6. Click Save.

    Ensure that you click Save to make the variable available in the workflow.
