Configuring a StartTask

Last Updated : Jul 22, 2024 |

About this task

The StartTask determines when a workflow is invoked. It specifies the data that an event must provide for the workflow to successfully trigger. Events trigger the Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud workflows.

You can also configure filters for the StartTask. Use filters to trigger the workflow when the event contains the data the filter defines. For example, use the default channelId filter to associate the workflow with the channel.

Procedure

  1. On the Designer canvas, double-click the StartTask.

    Orchestration displays the Properties pane.

  2. To replace the default value for the label displayed under StartTask, in the Label field, type a unique name for the task.

The Label field must contain only alphanumeric characters.
