Configuring the Avaya Aura Device Services element

About this task

To enable Avaya Aura® Device Services integration for your Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) account, configure the details of Avaya Aura® Device Services that you have on-premise in Application Center Administration. You must configure a maximum of one Avaya Aura® Device Services element.

Using Avaya Aura® Device Services, Avaya Workspaces voice agents can do the following:

  • Search the Enterprise Directory contacts, Contact Center Users, Contact Center Services, and Phone Extensions, and call from the search result.

  • Use the single-step transfer option in an existing call to search the Enterprise Directory contacts, Contact Center Users, Contact Center Services, and Phone Extensions. Then, transfer the call to the search result.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you configure the following:

    • An account with the Hybrid Voice feature enabled.

    • The System Manager element for the account.

    • The Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway element on-premise.

  • Ensure to log in to Application Center Administration as an account administrator.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree, click Element Inventory.
  2. On the Elements page, click New > Avaya Aura Device Services.
  3. In the Name field, type a name for the Avaya Aura® Device Services element.
  4. In the Description field, type a description for the Avaya Aura® Device Services element.
  5. In the Hostname field, type the hostname for the Avaya Aura® Device Services element.
  6. In the HTTPS Port field, type the port number.

    By default, the port number is 443. Do not change the port number value 443.

  7. Click Save.
