While generating real-time reports, you can apply filters based on which the reports display the results. You can use filters to include or exclude certain data from a report. Reports without filters can display too much or unnecessary data.

You can apply filters to views and then use them in dashboards. You cannot change a view filter after adding the view to a dashboard.
