Making a call using FAC

Laatst bijgewerkt : Jun 12, 2026 |

About this task

Use this procedure to initiate a feature call that requires you to pick a destination.

Before you begin

  • Ensure the phone line is in an idle state to view custom FAC soft keys.

  • If you activate a FAC shortcut during an active call, the system automatically places your current call on hold.

Procedure

  1. Locate your custom shortcut on the phone screen.
  2. Press either the FAC line key on your screen or the corresponding FAC soft key at the bottom of the display.

The screen displays the following selection prompt:

Select a destination: Press Contacts, Recents, Phone, use the dialpad or softkey options.

  3. Select your target recipient using any of the following methods:
    • Dial pad: Enter the extension number, then press Enter to target the extension.

    • Contacts: Select a contact from your list to target the extension.

    • Recents: Select a contact from the main list or from the detailed call view to target that extension.

    • Line Keys: Press any visible Autodial, Contact, BLF, or Bridged Call Appearance (BCA) line key on your primary or secondary display to quickly route the feature call to that line.

Result

The system automatically combines the hidden system feature code with your chosen target and connects the call over your active line.
