Adding a phone number to an account

About this task

You can add any available phone number in Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud to an account for routing to agents. In certain countries, when you buy a number and add it to an account, you must verify this number to make it active. Send the required documents to the email address that Application Center Administration displays in the tooltip next to the recently added number to verify it. If you do not verify the added number, you cannot use it. You can release the phone numbers that you no longer require.

Before you begin

Log in to Application Center Administration as an account administrator.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree, click Channels > Voice.
  2. On the My Numbers page, click Add Number.
  3. In the Type list, select Local or Tollfree.
  4. In the Country list, select the country to add a phone number.
  5. Optional In the Area Code field, type the area code.
  6. Optional In the Number Contains field, type at least two digits that the phone number contains.

    The digits can be at any position in the number. For example, if you type 98, the search results can contain numbers +12345674398 and +98123456754.

  7. Click Search.

    Application Center Administration displays the list of phone numbers available for use and not assigned to any user. If a phone number requires verification, Application Center Administration displays the warning message at the top of the page.

  8. Select the phone number to add.
  9. Click Add and refresh the page to verify that the process is complete.

    Application Center Administration displays the added number on the My Numbers page.
