Groups for agents to view Real-Time reports

Reporting Agent groups are groups created for agents to have access to real-time reports. There is no specific role for reporting agents, but account administrators can assign the Reporting_Supervisor role for agents to view real-time reports.

The Reporting_Supervisor role requires the user to own one or more groups to see any agents in the real-time reports. Since a user cannot be a member and an owner of a group, real-time reporting treats group owners as members of the group. This enables owners that are agents to see themselves in the real-time reports.

The groups are used for more than just reporting, and only real-time reporting treats group owners as members of the group. For this reason, groups defining the agents assigned to a supervisor must not be reused for agents to view real-time reports.

To help track Reporting Agent groups, consider naming the groups with a common suffix that can filter the groups. By using a suffix, the Supervisor group and the Reporting Agent groups appear near each other in the list of groups. For example, all groups for Reporting Agents can be suffixed with '_RA'.

The bulk user operations can be used to configure multiple reporting agents; however, account administrators must create the groups before they can be assigned to the reporting agents.
