Configuring customer identifiers

About this task

You can create a customer identifier in the virtual agent, such as account ID, phone number, and email address. If required, you can also create a custom identifier for the customer. Complete the following steps to set a customer identifier for the BYOBot SIP virtual agent:

Procedure

  1. On the Store Context tab, click the Customer Identification subtab.
  2. To add a new customer identifier, click the Add icon.
  3. In the Key field, select the required customer identifier.
  4. Optional To add a customized customer identifier, in the Custom key name field, type a key name.
  5. In the Values field, type the BYOBot SIP parameter name that collects data for the customer identifier and press Enter.

    You can add multiple values. For example, you can use multiple BYOBot SIP parameters for phone numbers.

  6. To save the changes, click the Save icon.
