Adding an Avaya SBC device

Procedure

  1. Log in to the EMS web interface with administrator credentials.
  2. From the Device menu, click EMS.
  3. Navigate to Device Management.
  4. On the Device Management page, click Add.
  5. On the Add Device page, enter the Node Name and the Management IP address of the Avaya SBC devices.
    Note:

    Ensure that the host names of the devices are unique.

  6. Optional If the device you add must support high availability, select the High Availability check box and enter details in the following fields:
    • Node name for both Primary and Secondary nodes

    • Management IP for both Primary and Secondary

  7. Optional Administer any other desired options as described in Device Management field descriptions.
  8. Click Finish.

    On the Device Management page, the EMS server displays a device list with the status of the newly added device as Registered.

  9. Restart the IPCS services as described in Restarting the IPCS services.
