Description

Use Local WebLM Server

An option to use a local WebLM server.

Virtualized EMSes cannot run on a local WebLM server.

External WebLM Server URL

The URL of the WebLM server in one of the following formats:

  • For a System Manager WebLM server: https://<SMGR_server_IP> :52233/WebLM/LicenseServer

  • For a standalone WebLM server: https://<WEBLM_server_IP> :52233/WebLM/LicenseServer

Fetch Count

The value that Avaya SBC uses to determine the number of licenses to:

  • Request when usage increases. (Refer to the description of Low Watermark)

  • Release when usage decreases. (Refer to the description of High Watermark)

This value cannot be 0.

Low Watermark

If the percentage of usage licenses is less than or equal to Low Watermark, Avaya SBC requests number of licenses equal to the value of Fetch Count.

Usage licenses = available licenses/reserved licenses

For example, Avaya SBC has 10 licenses reserved, 8 licenses in use, 20% Low Watermark, and Fetch Count as 5.

Available licenses = Reserved licenses – Licenses in use

That is, Available licenses = 10-8= 2

Percentage of Usage licenses = (available licenses/reserved licenses) * 100

That is, Percentage of Usage licenses = (2/10)*100 = 20%

Now, this percentage is less than or equal to Lower watermark, that is, 20%. Therefore, Avaya SBC requests 5 (Fetch count) more licenses. However, when requesting for more licenses, Avaya SBC ensures that reserved licenses is not more than configured MAX license allocation.

High Watermark

If the percentage of usage licenses is greater than or equal to High Watermark, Avaya SBC releases the number of licenses equal to the value of Fetch Count.

Usage licenses = available licenses/reserved licenses

For example, Avaya SBC has 10 licenses reserved, 2 licenses in use, 80% High Watermark, and Fetch Count as 5.

Available licenses = Reserved licenses – Licenses in use

That is, Available licenses = 10-2= 8

Percentage of Usage licenses = (available licenses/reserved licenses) * 100

That is, Percentage of Usage licenses = (8/10) * 100 = 80%

Now, this percentage is greater than or equal to High Watermark, that is, 80%. Therefore, Avaya SBC releases 5 (Fetch count) licenses. However, when releasing licenses, Avaya SBC also ensures that the number of reserved licenses is not less than the configured MIN license allocation.
