The Avaya SBC architecture uses a standard platform and a micro platform. The standard platform example is a single Avaya SBC device deployed in the core with the call server complex and controlled by a separate EMS device. In the following figure, the ports for Dell R210ii are shown as an example for standard platform servers. The micro platform example is a single SBC device deployed in the enterprise DMZ and controlled by a separate EMS device.
