With Signaling Rules, you can define the action to be taken for each type of SIP-specific signaling request and response message. Actions that can be configured with Signaling Rules include Allow, Block, and Block with Response. When SIP signaling packets are received by the Avaya SBC, the packets are parsed and pattern-matched against the particular signaling criteria defined by these rules. Packets matching the criteria defined by the Signaling Rules are tagged for further policy matching.
