Configuring Mediasec

About this task

MediaSec is a capability to distinguish security mechanisms that apply to the media plane by defining a new Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) header field parameter to label such security mechanisms.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the EMS web interface with administrator credentials.
  2. Enable mediasec handeling.
    1. In the navigation pane, click SBC.
    2. In the navigation pane, click Configuration Profiles > Server Interworking.
    3. Select the profile you want to edit.
    4. Click Edit.
    5. Select Mediasec Handeling checkbox to enable security mechanisms that apply to the media plane by defining a new Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) header field parameter to label such security mechanisms.
    6. Click Finish.
  3. Configure SRTP.
    1. In the navigation pane, click Domain Policies > Media Rules.
    2. Select the media rule you want to edit.
    3. Click Edit.
    4. In the Preferred Formt field, select SRTP as an ecryption method.
    5. Click Finish.
  4. Configure signaling transport method.
    1. In the navigation pane, click EMS.
    2. In the navigation pane, click System Administration > AAA.
    3. Select the LDAP tab.
    4. Select SSL/TLS as signaling transport method.
    5. Click Save.
