Purpose

This document describes the procedures to:

  • Convert the Avaya Session Border Controller Open Virtualization Application (OVA) software image to the Amazon Machine Image (AMI) software image.

  • Deploy the converted Avaya SBC AMI software image using the Amazon Web Services Management console.

  • Deploy Avaya SBC on Amazon Web Services as a simplex or High Availability (HA) configuration.

This document is intended for people who install and configure Avaya SBC AMI at a customer site.

Important:

To install High Availability (HA), you must use Avaya SBC Release 8.1.1 or later.
