Installation Wizard provides an interface for configuring an Avaya SBC security device.

Device Configuration
|
|
|
Appliance Name
|
A descriptive name assigned to the Avaya SBC security device being provisioned. This name is subsequently used as the device host name.
|
|
High Availability
|
A check box indicating that the Avaya SBC security device being provisioned will be part of a High-Availability (HA) pair. If you select the High Availability check box, the system displays a failover to field containing a list of HA partners. You can click the required HA partner.

DNS Configuration

Primary
|
The IP address of the primary DNS server.
|
|
Secondary
|
The IP address of the secondary DNS server.
|
|
License Allocation
Note:
Licenses must be allocated for features to work.

|
|
Standard Sessions
|
The number of standard licenses allocated.
|
|
Advanced Sessions
|
The number of advanced licenses allocated.
|
|
Scopia Video Sessions
|
The number of Avaya Meetings Server video licenses allocated.
|
|
CES Sessions
|
The number of Client Enablement Services (CES) proxy licenses allocated.
|
|
AMR Sessions
|
The number of Adaptive Multi Rate (AMR) licenses allocated. In PLDS, AMR licenses are referred as NG911 licenses. Avaya SBC uses an AMR license when a call requires AMR-WB codec.

Transcoding Sessions
|
The number of transcoding sessions licenses allocated.
|
|
CLID
|
A five-digit number indicating the centralized licensing ID.
|
|
Encryption
|
The encryption field. The default value is Yes.
|
|
Name
|
The name of the device.
|
|
Default Gateway
|
The default gateway address.
|
|
Subnet Mask
|
The subnet mask of the Avaya SBC device.
|
|
Interface
|
The physical interface of the Avaya SBC security device, which will be used to provide an interface to the internal/Enterprise and to provide an interface to the external, public network (A1, A2, B1, and B2).
Note:
Ensure that the data interfaces and maintenance interfaces are configured on different subnets. This configuration avoids routing problems when configuring the data interfaces A1/A2 and B1/B2 in Installation Wizard and the maintenance interfaces M1 and M2 during the initial provisioning process in the Management Interface Setup screen.

Network Configuration
|
|
|
IP
|
The IP address of the Avaya SBC device that is being configured.
|
|
Public IP
|
The IP address used by the Avaya SBC security device for network address translation of SIP messages. The device uses the IP address to access the external network. If you have not configured the near-end NAT, the Public IP address can be the same as the IP address.
|
|
Gateway Override
|
The IP address of the device that the Avaya SBC security device uses to send local network traffic to other networks.
|
|
DNS Client
|
The radio button next to the interface (normally A1) that is reachable by the DNS servers that were defined previously in the Primary and Secondary fields of the DNS Configuration section.
