Creating an AMI from the uploaded snapshot

Within EC2, you must select an Amazon Machine Image (AMI) when launching the instance.
  1. Navigate to the AWS EC2 dashboard.
  2. Under Elastic Block Store, click Snapshots.
  3. Search for your SnapshotId.

  4. Right-click the snapshot and click Create image from snapshot.
  5. On the Create image from snapshot page, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, enter a name for your image.
    2. In the Virtualization type field, select Hardware-assisted virtualization.
    3. In the Boot mode field, select UEFI.
  6. Click Create.
