Before you begin
Ensure the phone lines are cross-connected to the required media module.
  1. Connect one end of the conductor to a phone cable building entrance protector ground that is connected to an approved ground.
  2. Route the rest of the conductor next to the exposed phone cables being protected until they reach the cross-connect nearest to the phone system.
  3. Connect the other end to the single-point ground block provided for the phone system.
    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
    You must place the non-exposed phone cables at least 12 in. (30.5 cm) away from the exposed phone cables.
