Creating an endpoint policy

About this task

You must create an endpoint policy to support SDP Capability Negotiation and to disable Fingerprint security feature.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the EMS web interface with administrator credentials.
  2. To create a Media Rule for SDP capability negotiation support, do the following:
    1. In the navigation pane, click Domain Policies > Media Rules.
    2. Click Add.
    3. In the Name field, enter the name and click Next.
    4. Enter the appropriate details in the Audio Encryption and Video Encryption sections.
    5. In both the sections, clear the Encrypted RTCP check box and select the Interworking check box.
    6. In the Miscellaneous section, select the Capability Negotiation check box. Click Next.
    7. Disable the Media Anomaly detection. Click Next.
    8. Disable Media silencing and click Next.
    9. If required, select DSCP on Media QoS Marking.

      The recommended default values are DSCP-EF for audio and video.

  3. To disable Fingerprint feature, do the following:
    1. In the navigation pane, click Domain Policies > Security Rules.
    2. Click the Fingerprint tab.
    3. Clear the Fingerprinting check box.
    4. In the left navigation pane, click Domain Policies > End Point Policy Groups.
    5. Click Add.
    6. In the Group Name, enter a name.
    7. In the Policy Group field, change media rule to the one created earlier and security rule to the one created earlier.
    8. Click Finish.
    9. Associate this endpoint policy to the subscriber flow in use and to the server flow in use.
