With the Night mode feature, you can dim the phone screen brightness to the minimum. When your system administrator configures the Night mode feature, the phone idle screen, the Login screen, and the Brightness settings screen display the Night mode feature menu. From the Login screen or the phone idle screen, use the Night mode soft key to activate or deactivate the feature. Additionally, you can use the Brightness settings screen to activate or deactivate the feature.
Avaya J179 IP Phone supports the Night mode feature. If you connect Avaya J100 Expansion Module to the phone, the night mode feature does not affect the expansion module screen brightness.
When you activate the night mode, the phone switches off the Beacon LED, the Missed call LED, and the Red LED on the line keys. The phone continues to display the green LED on the line keys for the other active features. The active Night mode feature does not affect the illumination of the Speaker, the Mute, and the Headset buttons on the phone.
Note:
The brightness of the Night mode phone screen is dimmer than the standard brightness of the phone.
