The following table lists presence icons for the Avaya J189 IP Phone and their description:

The On a Call icon is an orange solid circle with a white tilted handset in the center.

Contact is on a call.
The Busy icon is an orange solid circle with a white vertical bar in the center.

Busy

Contact is busy.

Away

Contact is away from the phone.
The Do not Disturb icon is a red solid circle with a horizontal bar in the center.

Do Not Disturb

Contact is not available for the call.
The Out of Office or the Offline icon is a gray solid circle with a white dot in the center.

Out of Office / Offline

Contact is out of office, offline or wants to appear invisible.
The Unknown icon is a gray solid circle with a white question mark in the center.

Unknown

The presence status of the contact is unknown or the phone is not registered.
The Automatic icon is a gray solid circle with a recurring circle in the center.

Automatic

The presence status is automatically set based on your current activity on the phone.
