When a new backup is initiated and the maximum number of files is reached, the system removes the oldest backup file to make room for the new backup file.

To perform the scheduled backup on the System Manager server, you must delete the older backup files from the system as the filename is dependent on the scheduled job.

The Maximum Backup Files value controls the removal of old backup files.
