Prolog information
When installed on Avaya Vantage™, some features of third-party communication applications might not work as expected. Avaya Vantage™ gives preference to the built-in UC experience as the primary communication application and allocates resources.
The following are known limitations of using Microsoft Teams on Avaya Vantage™:
  • If there is an active call on the built-in UC experience, you do not receive any notification of an incoming call on Microsoft Teams.
  • If there is an active call on the built-in UC experience, you cannot make a call from Microsoft Teams.
  • You cannot send a file attachment in an instant messaging (IM) conversation. This a general Android limitation with Microsoft Teams.
  • Avaya Alexa cannot answer an incoming Microsoft Teams call.
  • Avaya Alexa cannot join you to a meeting on Microsoft Teams. Avaya Alexa opens the built-in UC experience instead of Microsoft Teams.
  • The application does not support the following capabilities on Avaya Vantage™:
    • Avaya Vantage™ wired handset and RJ9 headset.
Alternatively, you can use a Bluetooth headset or speakerphone, a USB headset or speakerphone, or a 3.5 mm headset.
    • Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on the device. The MWI LED does not flash for incoming calls or messages on the application.
