Limitations

When you install Skype on Avaya Vantage™, some features might not work as expected.
The following are known limitations of using Skype on Avaya Vantage™:
  • When you connect a USB headset to the phone, audio might not come through the headset. Instead, audio comes through the speaker.
  • Audio quality can be poor during a Skype video call. The audio is intermittently clipped or distorted. This issue does not occur during voice-only calls.
  • If there is an active call on the built-in UC experience, you cannot answer an incoming call on Skype.
  • If there is an active call on the built-in UC experience, you cannot make a call from Skype.
  • Avaya Alexa cannot answer an incoming Skype call.
  • Avaya Alexa cannot join you to a Skype meeting. Avaya Alexa opens the built-in UC experience instead of Skype.
  • The application does not support the following capabilities on Avaya Vantage™:
    • Avaya Vantage™ wired or wireless handset and RJ9 headset.
      Alternatively, you can use a Bluetooth headset or speakerphone, a USB headset or speakerphone, or a 3.5 mm headset.
    • Message Waiting Indicator (MWI) on the device. The MWI LED does not flash for incoming calls or messages on the application.
