You can upgrade RHEL 8.4 to RHEL 8.10 using the following av-upgrade-os command. The av-upgrade-os command is available when Session Manager R10.2.1 is installed.
Before you begin
Install Session Manager R10.2.1.
To view the current version of Session Manager, run the following command: swversion -s.
Verify that av-upgrade-os command is available.
To verify if the av-upgrade-os command is available, run the following command: which av-upgrade-os
Verify the current version of RHEL on which Session Manager is running.
To view the current RHELversion, run any of the following commands:
cat /etc/redhat-release
av-version
Download Session Manager RHEL 8.10 Operating System bundle on Session Manager R10.2.1 virtual machine.
Login to Session Manager CLI.
To upgrade from RHEL 8.4 to RHEL 8.10, run the following command: av-upgrade-os <SM RHEL OS Bundle>
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
For example, run av-upgrade-os AV-SM10.2-RHEL8.10-OSUpdate-001.tar.bz2
After successful upgrade to RHEL 8.10, the Session Manager virtual machine reboots.
Log in to Session Manager CLI.
To verify that RHEL 8.10 is upgraded successfully, run any of the following commands:
