Upgrading to a Call Vectoring environment

Last Updated : Sep 08, 2012 |

About this task

If you have ACD and want to use Call Vectoring, you must upgrade to a Call Vectoring environment. This involves installing VDNs, vectors and hunt groups for the desired Call Vectoring features.

The set of guidelines that follows serves as a general procedure for upgrading to a Call Vectoring environment.

Procedure

  1. Verify the vector options on the System-Parameters Customer-Options screen.
  2. Add VDNs.
  3. Evaluate the number of queue slots assigned to each split. Assign queue slots to allow all calls processed by Call Vectoring to be queued.
  4. Change hunt-groups to be vector-controlled.
  5. Administer the vectors and one test hunt group at the minimum.
  6. Test all the vectors to be installed.
  7. Change the trunk groups and night destinations to use the VDNs.
