Restoring the data

About this task

Use the following order when restoring data on multiple systems:

  1. Restore SBC1

  2. Restore SBC2

  3. Restore EMS1

  4. Restore EMS2

  5. Reboot SBC1

  6. Reboot SBC2

  7. Reboot EMS1

  8. Reboot EMS2

Note:

After rebooting each system, it will take a few minutes for the processes to be up and running.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the CLI interface as a root user.
  2. Run the following command: /usr/local/ipcs/icu3/scripts/sbc-restorebackup <backupfile>
  3. If you perform a backup and restore on different hardware, run the following commands:
    1. rm /etc/udev/rules.d/99_ifrename.rules
    2. /usr/local/ipcs/icu3/scripts/ifnamer.py
  4. Reboot Avaya SBC.
