KVM networking configuration - Cockpit Web Console

This section describes an example working Networking configuration.

KVM host contains eight ethernet interfaces. Following information contains whether a bridge (a virtual networking component) is installed on the interface and whether a physical cable is connected to the interface.

  • eno12429 -- (no bridge / cable)

  • eno8403 -- (no bridge / cable)

  • ens1f0np0 -- (no bridge / cable)

  • eno12419 -- bridge.3001 (cable connected to switch)

  • eno12399 -- bridge.3002 (cable connected to switch)

  • eno12409 -- bridge.3012 (cable connected to switch)

  • eno8303 -- bridge0-port (cable connected to switch)

  • ens1f1np1 -- bridge_M2 (no cable)

The network has following subnets and vlans.

  • 10.81.21.0/24 (VLAN 3001) - M1 network

  • 10.81.22.0/24 (VLAN 3002) - A1 network

  • 10.81.23.0/24 (VLAN 3012) - B1 network

  • 10.81.24.0/24

EMS M1 interface to be connected to M1 network above SBCs.

  • M1 interface to be connected to M1 network

  • A1 interface to be connected to A1 network

  • B1 interface to be connected to B1 network

  • M2 interface to be connected to a special bridge.
