Appearance Button Icons
Your appearance buttons can display the following icons. When the icons are shown depends on the phone's display mode. In single-column mode the icons are always displayed. In dual-column mode, the icons are only shown when that button is alerting or being used.
Off-Hook/Connected – The appearance button is either being used to make a call or is connected on a call.
Call Preservation – There may be an issue with the other telephone system in your network that hosts the user or external trunk to which your call is currently connected. You may not be able to perform other call functions such as hold, park or transfer.
Conference Call – The appearance button is connected to a conference call.
Alerting – The appearance button has a call alerting.
Busy – The internal number you called is busy or not available.
Call On Hold/
Conference on Hold – You have an existing call on hold.
Call On Hold Pending Transfer/Conference – The call has been put on hold after you pressed Transfer or Conf to start the transfer or conference process.
Idle – The appearance button is not in use.
Recording – The call is being recorded. The system administrator can disable the display of this icon.
Call Disconnected – The far end of the call has disconnected. This may also appear if the system cannot route the number dialed.
