Prolog information
Microsoft Teams is a business messaging and collaboration platform, part of the Microsoft 365 product family. Microsoft Teams provides access to channels and teams, direct messaging, and group chats for team collaboration. It also integrates with other Microsoft 365 platforms, including Dynamics 365 applications.
As an agent or a supervisor, you can log in to the Microsoft Teams provider in Avaya Workspaces and access enabled Microsoft Teams contacts from the Corporate Contacts widget.
You can perform the following actions with Microsoft Teams contacts from the Corporate Contacts widget:
  • View the Presence states of contacts
  • Search for contacts and groups
  • Make direct calls and transfer customer calls
  • Make consultation calls
  • Add contacts to the Favorites list
If the account administrator enables the chat functionality, you can also perform the following actions:
  • Search for chats
  • Send messages in one-to-one and group chats
  • Start new conversations in a channel and reply to messages in conversations
To enable access to Microsoft Teams contacts in Avaya Workspaces, the account administrator must configure the Microsoft Teams integration with AXP Public Cloud. The administrator must also provide the credentials to log in to the Microsoft Teams provider. For more information about the Microsoft Teams integration, contact the account administrator.
If the account administrator configures the single sign-on (SSO) integration between AXP Public Cloud and Microsoft Teams, you can log in to Avaya Workspaces with your Microsoft credentials and get automatically signed in to the Microsoft Teams provider on the Corporate Contacts widget. For more information about the SSO integration, contact your account administrator. For more information about logging in to Avaya Workspaces with SSO credentials, see Logging in to Avaya Workspaces with SSO.
