The upgrade process creates a number of log files. To raise a support ticket, you must obtain those log files.

Description
USB upgrade key logs
VMDK log files
The USB upgrade key/virtual hard disk stores logs for each server it is used to upgrade:
  • /logs/backup_logs.txt
    This file has a record of the back up actions performed by the upgrade scripts.
  • /logs/restore_logs.txt
    This file has a record of the restore actions performed by the upgrade scripts.
Media Manager encryption log
Media Manager creates a log file for the encryption process it starts following the upgrade to IP Office R11.1.3:
  • /opt/MediaManager/log_encrypt_migration.txt
    The file contains:
    • totalRecords N = The total number of records to be updated.
    • ttttttt = The time taken in milliseconds.
    • All record updated = Added when the encryption process has finished.
Linux-based server logs
In addition to the logs above, to raise a support ticket you require the following log files:
  • /opt/webcontrol/log/web.log
  • /var/log/rsyslog
  • /opt/MediaManager/MediaManagerService.log
  • /opt/Avaya/apache-tomcat/logs/MediaManager.log
  • The /opt/MediaManager/Backup/mm_back.tar.gz if present.
