Zone Name

Displays all zones that are configured in POM.

Zone State

Use to change the state of the zone displayed in the corresponding Zone Name field.

Click one of the following options:

• Up: To make the zone functional.

• Down: To make the zone non-functional.

  Caution:

  If you change the state of a zone to Down and if a failover zone is unavailable, all agents who are logged into the zone are forcefully logged out after the grace period configured in the WaitForHaAgents parameter elapses. The WaitForHaAgents parameter is configured in the pim_config table of the POM database.

  The default value of the WaitForHaAgents parameter is two minutes.

Failover Zone

Use to assign a failover zone to the zone displayed in the corresponding Zone Name field.

You can assign a failover zone only when you are setting the state of the corresponding zone to Down.

The Failover Zone field does not display the zones that are in a Down state.

Action

The following are the options:

• Edit : To edit the zone state and assign a failover zone.

• Save : To save the changes.

  The Save option is available after you perform changes in the zone settings.

  However, if your user account does not have the required privileges to modify the zone settings, the Save option remains unavailable.
