Prolog information
Use this procedure when Expansion Module and Avaya Vantage™ Connect are on different devices. If you know the IP address of the device with Avaya Vantage™ Connect, you can send a connection request from Expansion Module directly to the specific device. Using the IP address of the device, you can connect the applications when the devices are on two different subnets.
Before you begin
Do the following:
  • Log in to the device with Avaya Vantage™ Connect using your SIP credentials.
  • Enable the Expansion Module service on Avaya Vantage™ Connect.
  • Ensure that you have the IP address of the device to which you want to connect.
  1. Open the Avaya Connect Expansion Module application.
  2. In the Enter IP Address field, type the IP address of the device that has Avaya Vantage™ Connect as the active telephony application.
  3. Tap Connect using IP address.
  4. For future connectivity between the two applications, tap one of the following options:
    • Always use this device
    • One time use
    STEP RESULT:
If you are connecting to the selected device for the first time or you removed the existing pairing between the applications, the Expansion Module application displays a verification code with a timeout progress bar. The code remains valid for 15 seconds.
  5. On the device to which you sent the connection request, open the Avaya Vantage™ Connect application.
    STEP RESULT:
Avaya Vantage™ Connect displays the connection request from the Expansion Module application.
  6. Ensure that the code displayed in the request matches the code on the Expansion Module application.
  7. Tap Yes to accept the connection request.
    STEP RESULT:
The Expansion Module application refreshes and loads the feature buttons based on the buttons assigned for your extension.
