Note:

Usage Metering functions normally without configuring this port.

In this case, the HTTP web browser access is not redirected to the web user interface.

HTTPS

Web user interface.

Usage Metering does not use any UDP server ports. You can harden or block access to all other inbound ports.

Note:

Usage Metering software binds to Port 8443. This is for internal use only. You can block an external access to Port 8443.

SNMP

Sending alerts as SNMP traps to a local SNMP trap host.

Sending alerts to the SAL Gateway.

TCP 443

HTTPS

  • HTTPS access to the public internet, including a Domain Name System (DNS).

  • Using HTTPS to communicate with services in the Avaya cloud.

  • Interacting with the Avaya cloud by using the public internet.

  • Connecting with the Avaya and CentOS or RHEL Yum servers for receiving software updates.

  • Working with a web proxy that inspects HTTPS content by using man-in-the-middle attacks.

UDP 514

Syslog

Sending alerts to a Syslog server.

Configuring a syslog and a system alert.

Configuring this port is optional.

TCP 2525

SMTP

Sending email notifications for the following:

  • Alert

  • Software upgrades

  • Self-service password reset

Note:

You can configure the TCP port used to send email.

The default port is 2525.

WebLM port
