Platform upgrades:

Upgrade from an older CMS software release and install a new customer-provided VMware server or an Avaya Solutions Platform ASP 130 R6 server. To do this, back up the customer data, install the new CMS server, and migrate the customer data.

Base load upgrades:

Use a simplified upgrade process for CMS upgrades within the same minor release and other approved scenarios. Use a software disc or CMS ISO image file to install the new Linux OS and CMS software.
