This document details the non-standard upgrade processes that you must use when upgrading Linux-based IP Office servers from pre-R11.1 to R11.1 or higher. You must use these non-standard processes due to the change of Linux operating system from CentOS 6 to CentOS 7.

You must use the processes in this document for all types of Linux-based IP Office server, including IP Office Application Servers and Unified Communications Module modules. These are one-off processes, for further upgrades within R11.1 you can use the standard iso file upgrade processes.

• Software Versions

  This document uses the latest software versions available at the time of writing. However, if later versions are available when upgrading, use those versions as they can have changes relating to the upgrade process. That is, use the latest R11.0.4.x service pack and the latest R11.1.x service or feature pack.

• IP500 V2 Control Units

  The processes in this document do not apply to IP500 V2 control units.
