Windows Server migration

Last Updated : Sep 13, 2023 |

IP Office R11.1 does not support the Windows server based versions of Voicemail Pro and Avaya one-X® Portal for IP Office. For IP Office systems using those products Avaya recommends that they switch to Linux-based versions of those services after upgrading to R11.0.

The options are:

  1. Install a Unified Communications Module or IP Office Application Server with the Voicemail Pro service enabled.

  2. Back up the R11.0 Windows Voicemail Pro data using the Voicemail Pro client.

  3. Restore the data onto the Linux-based R11.1 server (the Unified Communications Module or IP Office Application Server).

Additional Notes

  1. By default, R11.1 disables access to the voicemail server using the Voicemail Pro client. To enable client access, inIP Office Web Manager select Application > Voicemail Pro - System Preferences > Enable Voicemail Pro Client Interface.

  2. There is no process for migration of the Avaya one-X® Portal for IP Office settings. If the customer wants to retain any settings such as widgets, you must manually export and then import the widget settings.
